New Years Eve

New Years Eve

Ashmore palms were offering a free shuttle bus service to southport to see the fireworks and new years eve concert, so we decided to go and check it out.

The fireworks were at several locations throughout the Gold Coast this year. This was our first time seeing the fireworks on the gold coast, so we didnt really know what to expect or where to be for the best views.

There was quite a large crowd, which we expected, but it was well managed, and there was plenty of space available for everyone to get a good view of the fireworks. We had a quick walk around and soon found a pretty good spot.

I went for a walk to the food vans to check out what was available. The lines were fairly long and the food was pretty expensive ($10 for some hot chips). So we decided to go for a short walk and found a dominos just around the corner. We got two large pizzas for $10 which everyone was pretty happy with.

We were fortunate enough to see 3 lots of fireworks. We could see the display from surfers paradise and labrador at 8.00pm and then the fireworks at southport at 8.30pm, all from the same location.

Overall it was a big night for all and we hit the pillows pretty quickly when we got home. Unfortunately we didn’t see the new year in, but we had a lot of fun trying.
