It has been over 10 years since I last visited Townsville and a lot has changed in that time. One of those things is the Strand.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how much the Strand has been transformed. From what use to be just a beach, is now a great family friendly area.
Even the fact that it was the middle of winter, there were still quite a few people around. The water was a bit cold but the kids didn’t seem to mind that too much.
