Drawing in Illustrator
I have always had a bit of a passion for wanting to be able to draw really well. My problem is, I have never sat down and spent the time learning how to go about that. So I’ve decided to start using some of my spare time to tinker a little bit with digital art.
I’ve been using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator for over two decades on and off. A little photo touch up here and some logo design there. A few years ago I did try and create some cartoon characters in illustrator but was secomb to the negativity of my left brain, and eventually gave up.
While this new interest might end up being just be a repeat failure of my last efforts, I decided this time I wanted to not worry too much about the end results. I googled why people fail at drawing and found a youtube video offering some fairly simple advice.
These are my very first attempts at creating a cartoon-ish version of Emma and Ryan. If you stare for long enough, squint your eyes just right, both slightly resemble Emma and Ryan.
If you’d like to leave a comment or constructively critique the drawings please do so.
