Bribie Island Parkrun

Bribie Island Parkrun

Parkrun today was at the relatively new Bribie Island parkrun, the S.S. Koopa Trail Parkrun. Coincidentally, it is Belinda’s 333rd and my 111th parkrun. It wasn’t an early start for a change, as we were camping at Bongaree for the long weekend with the Macqueens and Nicolles. The run itself was nice. We ran 2 laps of up and back along the boardwalk. It was a little windy, but the overall temperature was perfect for running. I set a new…

Yowie Parkrun

Yowie Parkrun

A 4.30am start this morning to do Parkrun at Kilcoy. Belinda had already done the course before, at the parkrun opening of Yowie Parkrun. He ran a total of 13,883kms in 217 days, which equates to an average of 64km per day!! Emma and…

Lota Parkrun

Lota Parkrun

It was another early start this morning, about 4.30am, we headed off to parkrun, this time we were visiting Lota. Lot is a suburb of Brisbane, and to be honest I’d never even heard of it before. We arrived around 6.30am, with plenty of time to have a look over the course and walk around. There were a lot of people out exercising, running, walking dogs, pushing prams. It was quite busy along the walkways. There was only about 80…

Emerald Parkrun

Emerald Parkrun

This Easter weekend has started off with a rather crazy challenge. We decided to get our ‘E’ letter for Parkrun. The only E in all of Queensland is at Emerald Parkrun. We jumped in the car at about 5am on Friday morning and undertook the 8 hour (or so) drive to Emerald. Along the way we made a few small stops. One photo opportunity was in front of the big watermelon at Chinchilla. Lorraine and Darren joined us for the…

Pittsworth Parkrun

Pittsworth Parkrun

Parkrun at Pittsworth today! This completes my ‘P’ and 13th letter of the Alphabeteer challenge. The Alphabeteer challenge is to run a Parkrun starting with each letter of the alphabet. Next week we are off to Emerald, because that is the only letter ‘E’ in all of Queensland. So this was my first run at Pittsworth today and the course was ok. It was three laps of the showgrounds. My shoes got saturated from the heavy dew on the grass….

Ryan completed this week’s Parkrun in 36 minutes and 4 seconds. Below is a list of all his 50 Parkrun’s he has done. It was also Kate’s…
